Hello,
Has anyone experienced the following and if so how did you resolve it?
We are running NCM 7.2.2 on a Windows 2008 SP2 VM. Whenever we try to do the following on the server:
- export a report from Report Writer
- view config backups in NCM
- modify/create advanced alerts
a Windows installer automatically pops up "Please wait while Windows configures Solarwinds Orion Network Configuration Manager v7.2.2". The moment this installer pops up, all the Solarwinds services automatically stop. Cancelling the pop-up has no effect as it'll come right back up with the same message. After fighting off the installer, we have to manually start up all the services until the next time a colleague has a need to perform any of the above actions.
We've tried to engage Support but so far we've been passed some tech to tech and after several diagnostic file uploads and web-Ex sessions, it seems that Support has given up on finding a resolution with the hope that we'll go away and forget about it.
So I'm hoping that someone out there has run into this and is willing to share how it was resolved.
Thank you all.
- JC.
