Hello everyone!
I was hoping that someone out there has found a better way to handle what I am currently doing.
Right now I have a job I execute in NCM every couple of weeks that runs a "sh post" and filters for the word "fail".
I then have to take the output of that job and copy it and paste it into Excel, then use a filter to show only the devices that had a failure. I have to do this for each polling engine once it completes.
Only then do I have a list that I can hand off to another team to start working.
It would be nice if I could automate this process where Orion looks at the post output, and based on if there is a line with the word fail or failure in it, kick off an email or ticket with the specific node details.
Does anyone utilize NCM for this purpose, or have it scripted in a more efficient way?
