We are using NCM 7.3.1. When we add in a new report or report/remediation it asks us to update the Cache. The only way we see is to use the Update All button. No real way to just update the one report that we see.
1) This takes a ton of time to wait for them all to update.
2) Is it actually running the report/remediation? Scary. From what I remember, it should be just updating the SolarWinds Database cache because a new policy/rule combination may impact other reports but this is me trying to reason this out. To run the report you have to do view report or run a job.
I personally haven't run remediation scripts, I hope it isn't brute force meaning it should ask before updating but I could see it being brute force.
This is annoying my Network Engineers who want to use this but bulk on the time factor and the scary factor.
Any advice or insight is appreciated.
